Fri-YAY!
The day everyone in America waits for all week. Whether you work on the weekends or not. There's just something about a Friday night that just gives you the feeling to do one thing...DRINK. I remember back in Rochester, I would get out of work on a Friday, text my girls and say "HOY SE BEBEEEE!" π Everybody knew what Friday meant. Whether we were drinking in one of our houses, or alone. WE WERE DRINKING.
I don't care what you do, whether you work at a supermarket, at a school, in an office, or at home. Everyone deserves a Friday night drink.
Now I don't know what every one's preference is, beer, straight-up liquor, cocktails, or wine, but today, in the spirit of Spring, and warmer weather upon us, I thought we would learn how to make the wonderful PiΓ±a Colada.
To make Pina Coladas this is what you'll need:
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup of Cream of Coconut
1 cup of Pineapple Juice
1/2 cup of White Rum (If you ask me, I'd use Bacardi)
2 cups of Ice
*You will be needing a blender!
This drink is EASY. All you have to do is put all of the ingredients in the blender, and blend until everything is mixed through.
Pour it in your favorite glass, garnish with cherries and pineapple wedges (Optional)
and ENJOY!
You can also make this a Virgin drink just omit the rum for water and you too, can enjoy the delicious tropical drink.
When I was younger my church would do fundraisers, where this drink was sold. the Virgin one of course!) My mom and dad would buy them over andover for us because we absolutely loved it. It was like a desert. It sparks a memory of my childhood and most of all my father. I love anything that has to do with my dad and keeping his memory alive and PiΓ±a Coladas sure is one of them.
I hope every enjoys their Friday night drinks and weekend. Most importantly, BE SAFE!
